bang. [Sep. 9th, 2010|03:10 am]
turn it over, flip it down,
she never thought it'd come around.
hauntings and horrors, that tremoring sound,
it all came together and knocked her out.

she stares at the mirror to see it crack,
she's nothing more than a full on wreck.
compliments come, nuff to fill a sack,
but she tosses them aside, and says they're all mad.

bury herself alive if she could,
given the circumstance she probably should.
support presented through the doubtful,
but that's all she has, less than a handful.

they think it's great, they think it's fine,
they don't know it's taking a toll on her mind.
thoughts of ending became so true,
amidst their glee they had no clue.

she sat on the edge just looking down,
wondering how she'd leave the town.
the door would be the conventional route,
but the path she chose appeared on the news.

they cried, they wept, they wondered why,
they didn't know that she'd really try.
they carried on life, and it's by and by,
failing to see her waving goodbye.

the end is here, she's now long gone,
but the blue bird still sings its song.
she's missed but not yet dismissed,
he still remembers their very first kiss.

he could've controlled, he should've said no,
he'd never know it'd send her below.
she wandered far away from her home,
to a land where she did not own.

guilt sets in and it overcomes,
one day she pulls the trigger to the gun.
just one bang would end her life,
please listen... she might be saying goodbye.

goodbye.
